Several years ago, Gastón packed a bag in Uruguay to vacation in the Riviera Maya, discovered the magic of the cenotes and the reef, and decided to stay and make this underwater paradise his home. He started from scratch with a lot of hard work, but his passion for exploration and the environment ultimately prevailed.

His fascination with the subterranean world stems from his days as a Geology student at the University of the Republic (UdelaR) in his home country. His previous experience teaching physics and mathematics to high school students served as a key pedagogical tool, helping him develop lesson plans with clarity and precision for every concept both above and below the water.

That combination of science, teaching, and technical expertise defines the DNA of Coral Dive School, a project he founded and now drives alongside a trusted, experienced network of friends and colleagues.

Our team has no room for novice instructors or mass-market tourism. We work exclusively with veteran cave divers, technical divers, Course Directors, and explorers with a solid track record—professionals who share a single vision: experience makes the master, and your safety underwater always comes first.
