Playa del Carmen Coral reefs

Our variety of reefs is very large, with different depths and currents according to your taste and level, all with high visibility and warm waters of approximately 29°C.
The high biodiversity is something to take into account, seeing rays, turtles, moray eels, barracudas, schools of different fish, and a nurse shark is not something out of the ordinary.

The secret is knowing where to look for them and we are experts in that.

Cenotes

These wonderful natural pools formed by underground rivers give us geological wonders that you will see as faults, dissolution, stalactites and stalagmites. The mystique of the place, being considered by the Mayans as the entrance to the Xibalba or underworld, you will also see light effects and shadows, clouds of hydrogen sulfide and underwater colors due to the diffraction of light and the much acclaimed haloclines, where fresh and salt water do not mix. Undoubtedly a unique dive in the world.

We have a wide variety of cenotes to discover, we will decide according to your level and preference.

Cozumel

This magical Island is located in front of Playa del Carmen, it is one of the top 10 dive sites in the World, this in the words of Jacques Cousteau.
The crystal clear waters, the temperature and the majestic giant coral formations are very difficult to find somewhere else, current is usually stronger than in Playa del Carmen, one of the dives is at the wall, the point where the continental shelf ends at a great almost vertical angle, so you can see the immensity and depth of the ocean in its maximum splendor.

The biodiversity here is similar to that of Playa del Carmen but everything is bigger.

Shipwreck Mama Viña

If you are an Advanced diver and you want to discover the mysteries of a shipwreck, Mama Viña is an old shrimp vessel sunken in 1991 to a depth of 28m/92ft.
As it became an artificial reef fairly far from the natural barrier, it is very common to see a lot of animals that use it as a refuge, without a doubt a different adventure.

After the shipwreck we will do another reef dive.

Bull shark

Do you dare? Diving together with a group of sharks is an unforgettable experience in life, especially knowing that this shark has the greatest bite power of all, 1250 PSI against the 1100 psi of the white shark and of course without a cage. This is not a problem due to the peaceful and relaxed attitude they have, all the specimens that come to our shores are females in the gestation period, in addition to the sharks they do not like us as food, we are toxic for them, they only come to see us with the same curiosity that we see them.
So just leave your fears on the boat, arm yourself with courage because the fantastic adventure is about to begin.

Night dive

From this dive you will get a totally new impression of the reef, you will believe that it is a totally new environment because of the very different behavior of the animals, once the sun goes down the reef transforms into a totally new environment where you will see that many animals change of attitude, if you have ever been in the forest at night you know that the forest never sleeps, sunset signals the beginning of activity for many animals. The same happens with the reef, fish that are resting during the day go out to hunt and you will see them much more energetic.

FAQ

In case of ocean dive.
The Master Harbor is the organism responsible for all water related activities in the area.

This organism monitors the weather conditions at all times with forecast and real measurements to decide if it is safe to go out with the boat or there is a suspension in the water activities.
In case the harbor is closed, we can either rescheduled the day, change dive sites or cancel the activity all together, we will do what is best for you.

In case of Cenotes.
The weather is not a limiting factor, unless the rains are very intense in specific areas where the aquifer is recharged, in that case we contact the landlords of the cenote to ask the conditions before going because there could be a strong current, but that only happens in very specific cases. The Lead Instructor will do an environmental assessment prior to each dive to ensure conditions are appropriate.

No, we can lend you all the equipment at no extra cost, but if you have your own equipment we recommend you to bring it, it is usually more comfortable to go diving with equipment you know and that you are used to, like this you will have better control of your buoyancy and position in the water.
